A Little About Dale & Ceil Miller

Dale and Ceil Miller always knew what they wanted to do when Dale retired.  That was to move back to Wyoming and build a log home.  Dale's sales manager position for an industrial equipment company and Ceil's career as a paralegal for the State of Utah had kept them in the city way too long.  Many vacations and weekends were spent driving down county roads looking for that special spot to build their dream home.  One year, much to their surprise they found that perfect piece of land in Thayne, Wyoming, located in the heart of beautiful Star Valley.  Dale and Ceil knew this was the place.

Star Valley stretches along Wyoming's western border.  Just a stone's throw from Idaho with an easy drive to Jackson Hole are the Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.  Star Valley is truly the Gateway to the great outdoors of the western slopes of the Rocky Mountains.  The valley is surrounded by three national forests, the Bridger Teton, the Targhee, and the Caribou.  Close by, three rivers, the Snake, the Salt and the Greys meet to form Palisades Reservoir.  Besides an abundance of clean air and blue sky, trout streams and mountain lakes wait patiently for their attention. Not to mention incredible hunting in the fall with skiing and snowmobiling in the winter. Can anyone blame them for wanting to leave city life for this.

Ceil & Dale then began the second stage of their quest: looking for the right Log Home Manufacturing Company.  Their first visit was to Kuhns Bros. Log Home's corporate office in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, and they were impressed with its facilities, but felt they needed to visit and compare other log home companies as well.  After many air and road miles, the Millers came full circle and realized that Kuhns Bros. excelled in every aspect of what they deemed important to build their log home.  Their initial gut feeling was right all along.  They were now certain with their decision to go with Kuhns Bros.  What came out of a labor of love to find the home of their dreams also emerged an exciting and rewarding career that both Dale and Ceil could share together.

For their show home, the Millers will build a modified 2,776 square foot Loyalsock Model with an attached garage, which features 6" x 8" milled eastern white pine D-profile logs with an abundance of windows and an open floor plan.  The home's style will fit naturally in its surroundings.  Dale and Ceil feel they have the best of both worlds, to live in an environment such as this and to be in a position to help other people fulfill their own dreams of owning a log home.

So to all of our old and soon to be new friends, Dale and Ceil extend a heartfelt invitation to stop by the model or drop us a line. We are committed to helping you make your log home dreams become a reality.
